Hey, when in Toronto I recommend the Annex neighborhood (Bloor Street West of Spadina), Little Italy (College Street west of Bathurst), Queen Street West of University and Kensington Market (west of Spadina, north of Dundas, south of College) for the sort of indie stuff you seek.
